Chairman: AMMTO to Support Waste Management, Water Desalination Research Projects

TEHRAN (ANA)- The Secretary of the Advanced Materials & Manufacturing Technologies Office (AMMTO) which is part of the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science and Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy said that his office supports water desalination and industrial waste management projects by the researchers in the country.

Mostafa Milani, the AMMTO secretary made the remarks on a visit to Isfahan Scientific and Research Town where he pointed to the high potential of Isfahan province in the Central part of Iran in the field of materials and manufacturing and said, "Commercialization, financing, communication among companies and government bodies and releasing information on technological achievements are some of the actions taken by the AMMTO in order to develop technologies in the fields of materials and manufacturing."

"The AMMTO is ready to take steps to solve the problems of technological and knowledge-based companies in Isfahan Science and Research Town by holding specialized meetings and events," added Milani.

He further underlined that water desalination and industrial waste management, the development of advanced ceramics, completing the value chain of petrochemical products and preventing sales of crude oil were among the priorities of his office.

“Given the recent droughts, water desalination technologies are of great importance and AMMTO is ready to support technological projects in this regard,” he also underscored.

This Office is ready to facilitate the financing process, guarantee contracts and accept the risk of new technologies, and calls for the cooperation of knowledge-based companies in the city to develop materials and manufacturing technologies.
