‘Dayan’ Co-Presentation Event to Gather Iranian Knowledge-Based Companies Active in Mining Industry

TEHRAN (ANA)- ‘Dayan’ co-presentation event is due to be held with the aim of finding and meeting the needs of knowledge-based companies active in the mining sector.

‘Dayan’ is an event focused on market development and commercialization of products and services of the knowledge-based companies, which is organized by the innovation and technology ecosystem of the mining and mineral industries sector (IMINO).

In this event, the knowledge-based companies will have the opportunity to elaborate on the needs or capabilities of their products in the presence of mining and mineral industry operators and owners of other industries related to mining industries in the private and public sectors.

Issues like the strategic and vital nature of the knowledge-based products in reducing the imports of foreign products, and presenting the technical specifications of the knowledge-based products, and the complications, deficiencies, or problems that companies face in making their products are among the key subjects of the event.

Also, improving the added value, increasing productivity, including boosting product quality and quantity, optimizing operations and processes,reducing water and energy consumption,production of clean energy,reducing the production of greenhouse gases and the depreciation of devices and equipment,increasing the lifespan of equipment, devices and machinery,using artificial intelligence anddigital transformation, andimproving the level of safety, health and environmental protection are other issues to be raised in the event.

A senior Iranian official said in late 2022 that a hundred knowledge-based companies had voiced readiness to assist the development of the country’s mines and mining industries.

Hossein Mansouri, the executor of the project to create an ecosystem of innovation and technology in the mining and mineral industries sector (IMINO), described presentation of innovative and creative ideas as the need of the mining industries, saying that IMINO’s goal is to support knowledge-based companies and start-ups.

He said that nearly 7,634 knowledge-based companies are active in Iran, adding that 450 companies have been identified in the mining sector among which 100 companies have shown interest in cooperation with the mining and industries.

According to Mansouri, four companies have also been selected to present their capabilities in the health, safety and environment (HSE) sector.

The scientific cooperation between the academics and knowledge-based companies and the mining sector in Iran has increased in recent years.
