Iran-Made Microbiology Device Unveiled at Laboratory Science Exhibition

TEHRAN (ANA)- An Iranian-made microbiology device which works based on spectroscopy was unveiled during the 15th International and 21st National Congress on Quality Improvement in Clinical Laboratories (QICL 2024).

The executive secretary of the QICL 2024, which was held in Tehran in early May, Gholamreza Hamzeloo said that, “The exhibition that was held during the congress this year received a warm welcome by domestic and foreign companies like previous years. More than 210 companies took part in the exhibition.”

He said that domestic knowledge-based companies from inside the country also took part at the exhibition and displayed their good products.

“In this congress, a device that that is considered a major transformation in the field of laboratory and microbiology was unveiled. This device works on the basis of spectrometry. It identifies microbial and bacterial agents in a very short time without preliminary preparation and consumables. It helps the process of treatment and hospitalization considerably.”

He called for more support and attention to the university graduates in the laboratory science to encourage them to stay in the country and prevent their immigration.
